A lot of people wonder what is the meaning and purpose of their life. It is a valid and big question. What is the purpose of our lives on this planet? It can be summed up with two words: GOD'S PURPOSE. We were placed on this planet for something far greater and far more important than anything this world has to offer. And it is far greater than ourselves. We were put on this planet to serve the God of this Universe and spread the Good News (Gospel) to those who don't know who God is and those who need to see how valued they are. God wants to show people that they are loved by someone who is bigger and greater than anything or anyone on this planet. When our lives are done down here, God will not care how much money we made, how many things we had, how many girlfriends/boyfriends we had; he is going to care about the relationship we had with him and what we did for his future kingdom to come and how many people we tried to help and love on (among other things). That is what life is about and the purpose of it. To bring forth his kingdom and glory through what we do for God down on this planet. We are just vessels to be used by the only one qualified to guide and direct our lives: God. God uses us to fulfill his PURPOSE and the PURPOSE of what he put us here for: to do the work of his Father's Kingdom. Simply put, the purpose of our life is to get out there and serve God and his Kingdom.
Mark 16:15-16: "And then he told them, "You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Those who believe and are baptized will be saved. But those who refuse to believe will be condemned." (The Living Bible)
Matthew 28:19-20- "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (New International Version)
Ephesians 4:1- "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received." (New International Version)
Paul was in prison at this time.
We were called to do big things for God's kingdom in this life; so DO IT. God does not care what circumstances you are in, he will still use you as long as you believe in him and make him the Lord of your life.
